The Florida Venture Forum Presents the 2017
Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition

On May 19, 2017, the Florida Venture Forum, will host its 7th Annual Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition to coincide with its 10th Annual Florida Early Stage Capital Conference at the Omni ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida.  Previous winners have secured over $17 Million in funding. The Florida Venture Forum is now calling on universities throughout the state of Florida to bring their selected candidate to compete compete before a panel of judges and be this year's winner!

Participating universities will be asked to make a small donation to help defray the cost of hosting this event. See below for details.

Upon competitor selection notification by each participating university there will also be an Executive Summary form provided to be filled out which will be included in the Conference App and available to all attendees. Participating universities will be asked to submit their chosen competitor's six minute PowerPoint presentation to the Florida Venture Forum before the final cutoff date of May 1, 2017. Students will be presenting the morning of May 19, 2017 in front of a panel of judges who will determine the winners (Winner, 1st Runner up and 2nd place.)

The entry fee for each university is $1,500. This fee includes the following:

  • Logo promotion on all business plan marketing materials
  • Attendance for up to six attendees, inclusive of the Early Stage Capital Conference
  • Exhibit Table in the exhibition area
  • Free admission for each university's competitor to attend the May 18, 2017 Workshop
  • Opportunity for each competitor to pitch in front of investors
